By the time they got home, water had run through the wall cavity, soaked the subfloor, and started wicking into the adjacent bedroom carpet. We extracted with a truck-mounted unit, opened the wet wall, and set Dri-Eaz and Phoenix air movers with desiccant dehumidification. Three days later, the subfloor readings matched the dry standard in the rest of the unit, and we rebuilt the vanity wall to a finished, paint-ready state.
